Finding quality tools Made in the USA is no easy task these days. Some of my favorite childhood memories involve rummaging through my dad’s tool inventory. Whether I was using them for a weekend project or just satisfying my own curiosity, I could always count on his tools to be high quality, as in I don’t recall anything falling apart or feeling cheaply crafted. As an adult, my appreciation for tools has only grown, along with the realization that navigating today's massive hand tool market is easier said than done.

While I’ve inherited a few tools from my father and grandparents, my own toolbox woefully underrepresents those classic, American-made tools of yesteryear. To be fair, innovation in the tool market has been significant over the years and much like other goods, source materials for these tool advancements are scarce, as are manufacturers willing to take on domestic production.

Simply put, there’s just not enough adequate tool production here in the United States. I took the sledge for a spin the other day to pound some large wooden stakes into the ground and was very impressed with the construction of this tool.
